More about this product
Lester Reiff (1877-1948) was an American jockey who came to England with his brother, John, to ride for a cabal of unscrupulous American gamblers and their trainers, principally Enoch Wishard. Although Lester was knowingly involved in the unsporting practice of doping horses to win, he was a talented rider and much in demand. In 1900 he rode 143 winners and became champion jockey.
