Pair of Italian ash lounge chairs, model ‘829’, designed by Gio Ponti for the Hotel Parco Dei Principi, Sorrento

These chairs are upholstered in Zinc Zumirez in Moonbeam.

Re-upholstered in Romo wool boucle in Natural, one chair with a partial printed label for ‘Figli di Amedeo Cassina, 20036 Meda (Milano) Italy’; seat reclining mechanisms have been removed. A third chair is available.

In 1960, Gio Ponti (1891-1979), architect, industrial designer and furniture designer, was commissioned to build and design the contents of the Hotel Parco dei Principi, a site of historical significance set on the cliffs of Sorrento.
