Late Victorian mahogany adjustable, folding armchair

This design of chair was very popular either side of 1900 and was likely to have been made a number of different manufactures and in a few different woods. It was used both domestically and by those travelling. Two versions were made: one with a straight back; and the other with a lumber support.
