Percy Brown (1911-1996) was a British sculptor and potter who studied at the Royal College of Art. He began his teaching career in sculpture at Leicester College of Art before becoming Head of the School of Sculpture and Pottery at Leeds College of Art. He later served as Head of the Department of Art and Architecture at Hammersmith College of Art.
Brown exhibited widely, including at the Royal Academy, Leicester Galleries, Gimpel Fils, and other London galleries. His work is represented in several public collections, including Leicester Museum and Art Gallery.
A retrospective exhibition held at The Canon Gallery, Chichester, in 1991 revealed two distinct phases in his artistic development. Between 1937 and 1955, he produced portraits, architectural sculpture, ceramics, and nude studies. From 1963 onwards, he concentrated on abstract compositions in bronze and wood.
He lived at St Margaret's-on-Thames, Middlesex.
