Painted in earlier Castel Durante style, with the winged lion of St. Mark, trophies and emblems against a blue ground; marked ‘Painted Italy’ and the remains of a factory mark.
Recently rewired with fabric cord and PAT tested.
Cantagalli was a Florentine factory established in 1878, renowned for its copies of earlier Renaissance Italian maiolica.
