Anna von Lipa, Marble Elipse vase

The Anna von Lipa vases are made of delicately coloured mouth-blown, lead-free crystal glass. They are a real eye-catcher and a cheerful blend of traditional Czech glass art and modern Danish design. During the manufacturing process, small air bubbles may appear because air is trapped between the different layers. Since handmade glass is blown from multiple layers, air bubbles are likely. They are a characteristic feature of handmade glass.

Blowing glass is a fascinating and time-consuming process. The artist handles the glass when it is still liquid to when it is up to 1300˚ Celsius.
